Ms. A came into our studio already having done not one, but TWO previous boudoir shoots. I always enjoy shooting women who have previously done boudoir to see how the experiences compare. Unfortunately, Ms. A shared that she was unhappy with her first two experiences. Well, challenge accepted! 🙂 Read her Q&A below to see how the shoots compared.
Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If is, how did your shoot with Jenn compare to your prior experience?
I had done two boudoir shoots in the past and was completely unhappy with the results. This shoot with Jenn was totally different and I’m so so, so happy with the results. All three were completely different experiences and I was blown away by this shoot with Jenn!
Why did you do your boudoir shoot?
I did it for myself. I needed a self confidence boost. & confidence boost it was!!
What was your favorite part of the session?
Jenn talked me through the whole shoot from start to finish. She knows exactly how to pose you to get the image she is looking for. She made it so easy. I’ve always heard that as long as you can follow directions, you’ll be perfectly fine and that’s so true! She’s a true professional!
What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.
My self confidence was most definitely boosted. I never thought I’d see myself as gorgeous and I never liked my smile before doing a shoot with Jenn. Seeing the outcome of these images blew me away. Now I can say my smile is beautiful and I am beautiful. Thank you for helping me see that!
Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?
No, it wasn’t what I expected. I didn’t expect it to feel like a work out at all and it definitely was. Some of the poses can be challenging, but those poses were some of my favorite shots. Also, I didn’t think that picking out the images I wanted to keep would be so hard. I just loved every last one and wanted them ALL!
What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything?
The reveal was definitely the best part. I loved seeing myself in a different way and realizing I AM beautiful. I would not change a thing about it.
Is there anything extra you would like to tell us?
I mentioned above that I have done boudoir in the past twice. Both times I was unhappy with the results of my images. Both previous shoots came with an album included in the initial cost, so after the shoot, I had to figure out what images were good enough to include in an album and follow through with it… even though I didn’t really love any of them. I can honestly say you get what you pay for and TRUST ME I have learned from those two previous experiences. I am over the moon with Jenn’s work and happy I decided to give it one more try. It was worth every penny.
