My absolute favorite part about boudoir photography is helping women to see their true beauty and true worth. Ms. K came into my studio needing to be reminded of all of that again. She shared that she was in a bad place emotionally and needed help loving herself again. I was happy to help remind her how amazing she really is. Read on to hear her story and how doing a boudoir shoot changed the way she saw herself.
Q: Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If is, how does your shoot with Jenn compare to your prior experience?
A: My photo shoot with Jenn was my first ever boudoir shoot. Even though it was my first, I was very relaxed and with Jenn’s instructions, I felt like a model!
Q: Why did you do your boudoir shoot?
A: I was in a bad place and I desperately needed to find a reason to love myself again. Seeing my body and face in the mirror made me feel depressed. Every single person who was photographed by Jenn was stunning and they looked like absolute rockstars. I knew I needed the confidence those women had. After reading the testimonials, I booked my shoot.
Q: What was your favorite part of the session?
A: I loved everything! I loved the pampering in the beginning with the hair and makeup and I loved trying on my lingerie and posing. I was obsessed with the whole experience.
Q: What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.
A: I would be lying if I said this shoot didn’t change me. I became so confident and I began buying tighter clothes that fit my body type. My rolls and lumps didn’t bother me anymore. I wore less makeup and wore my hair in messy buns because why the hell not!?! I was a badass woman who felt like a supermodel!
Q: Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?
A: I was expecting to be nervous and uncomfortable. However that was not the case! I tried every pose and even dared to do a topless set! I was amazed with how comfortable I felt!
Q: What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything?
A: The best part was the reveal of course!! I kept saying, “Damn, who is that?!” and “Wow!!!” I was even brought to tears. The best experience ever!!
